Reiki is a Japanese word that means "Universal Life Force Energy." It refers to the healthy energy that surrounds us and flows through all things. The practice of reiki was discovered by Mikao Usui, a Japanese Monk during the late 1800's. It is now enjoyed and practiced world wide.
Reiki is a simple, safe, hands on energy technique that can reduce stress and balances your entire system, promoting a calmer, more relaxed state of mind. This state of relaxation encourages the bodies natural ability to heal. Reiki encourages being present; living in the moment, not focusing on that which we can not control.
Reiki is a meditative practice with spiritual roots. It supports the integration of body, mind and spirit, but it is not associated with any formal religious practice.
Reiki is a gentle, effective complementary modality, that should not be used as a substitute for primary medical treatment and healthcare.
Reiki is safe for people of all ages. Some benefits you can expect from Reiki include:
In-person sessions begin and end with a conversation addressing interests and/or concerns of the client.
During your session, you remain fully clothed while relaxing comfortably on a massage table or massage chair.
As your practitioner, I respectfully place my hands lightly on or over your body focusing on your head, torso, back and feet.
Some clients experience warmth, coolness, or tingling sensations where my hands are placed. Most agree that they feel deeply relaxed and peaceful - some even fall asleep! Ultimately everyone's experience and outcome is unique.
Please note that most imbalances of the body, mind or spirit develop over a long period of time.
Multiple sessions (at least four) are encouraged to achieve the long term effect or change you desire.
Everything is made up of energy and energy can transcend space and time. Distant Treatment healing is a valuable tool used by those who want/need the benefits of reiki, but are not able to physically participate.
Reiki will be sent to you remotely, scheduled to assist during any major/minor life event, such as illness, hospitalization, travel etc.
Distant Treatment sessions are typically scheduled to be received during your sleeping hours for a relaxed and peaceful experience. Five consecutive sessions are recommended.
